Who We’re Looking for:

This is an opportunity to serve as a senior partner and advisor as part of ParentSquare’s finance team, focused primarily on go-to-market, business expansion and foundational finance as our Senior Director of Finance and Growth. The finance team is a cross-functional team that partners with senior leaders across the company, focusing on high-impact strategic projects and analysis.

In this role, you’ll act as a strategic advisor and right-hand to the CFO and SVP of Finance & Strategy and will report to the SVP of Finance & Strategy, a seasoned leader with experience in taking companies valued at over $1B public. The leadership team has a track record at top-tier firms like Morgan Stanley and McKinsey. You are someone who is a high-caliber professional who can navigate complex financial landscapes, drive strategic initiatives, and enhance operational efficiencies across the organization. You’ll lead projects, work hand-in-hand with leadership and act on the most challenging strategic and operational questions impacting our business.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Projects:

  • Collaborate in the development and refinement of stage-gate processes to thoroughly assess project viability and return on investment (ROI), ensuring alignment with broader team insights.
  • Continuously evaluate ongoing projects, deciding strategically on funding increments, cessation, or scaling based on performance metrics and alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Structuring complex, ambiguous strategic problems for the ParentSquare leadership team, defining clear hypotheses and building business cases and quantitative analysis that will inform and influence our approach - individually and with teams
  • Support the identification and management of key business performance drivers, seeking opportunities for improvement and integrating these insights into collaborative efforts.
  • Work towards a deep understanding of ParentSquare customers and the market landscape to gather insights that will guide and enhance your recommendations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with department heads across the organization to provide financial insights and visibility into their profit and loss statements, helping them understand key drivers and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with data science, revenue operations and accounting teams to leverage data for decision-making, ensuring that financial metrics are integrated with operational and business data.
  • Collaborate with go-to-market (GTM), product and other functional teams on special initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiencies, achieving financial optimization and driving increased value to our users and our business

Leadership and Impact:

  • Contribute strategic insights and recommendations, aiming to direct the financial and operational direction of the organization through sustained learning and adaptation.
  • Facilitate communication and project alignment among various stakeholders, ensuring that all departments are moving towards common goals with clear financial perspectives.
  • Aim to attract, develop, and retain talented individuals for the Finance team, fostering a culture of learning, excellence, and teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in high-stakes environments such as bulge bracket investment banking, management consulting or private equity is preferred for this role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, recognize trends, and recommend forward-looking strategies.
  • Data self-sufficiency: proficiency in data mining to access relevant data without the need for outside assistance.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally among diverse teams.
  • Displaying a “Founder Mentality” and demonstrate accountability and ownership of Company goals
  • A masters degree as part of a fast-track undergraduate program such as management engineering is highly desirable.

This role will have a salary of $180K to $225K, DOE.
