Who We’re Looking for

At ParentSquare, we’re passionate about improving the lives of students and that passion translates into how we think about our product and about our customers. We are searching for a Vice President of Product who will share in this passion and be driven by this mission. You will help us continue to grow, improve and scale our platform. you will lead our product strategy and development efforts.  You’re also someone who will have the vision to take new product initiatives from concept to market. You will shape our product roadmap, foster innovation, and ensure our solutions deliver exceptional value to our customers.

This role will include:

Lead With A Customer-Centric Approach:

  • Championing a customer-centric mindset throughout the organization, ensuring that customer feedback and insights drive product decisions.
  • Engaging with customers and key stakeholders to gather feedback, identify pain points, and validate product hypotheses.
  • Leveraging user data and analytics to make data-driven decisions and continuously improve product performance.

Lead Product Strategy:

  • Conducting market research, competitor analysis, customer and employee feedback to identify new opportunities and unmet needs.
  • Defining and prioritizing product initiatives based on market trends, customer insights, and business goals.

Oversee Product Roadmap and Development:

  • Leading the development and maintenance of a comprehensive product roadmap that supports short-term and long-term business objectives.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, and product education/marketing, to ensure successful product development and timely releases.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation and creativity within the product team, encouraging quick and agile development processes.

Exemplify Team Leadership and Development

  • Leading and mentoring the product management team, fostering professional growth and enhancing team capabilities.
  • Cultivating a collaborative work environment that promotes innovation, transparency, and accountability.
  • Ensuring effective cross-functional communication and alignment between product, engineering, design, and other teams.
  • Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product performance and measure the success of product initiatives.
  • Providing regular updates and reports to executive leadership on product strategy, development progress, and performance.

Lead Product Launches and Go-to-Market Strategies:

  • Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to create successful go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
  • Helping to develop product positioning, messaging, and marketing collateral to effectively communicate product value and benefits to target audiences.
  • Monitoring product performance post-launch and lead efforts to drive user adoption and satisfaction.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 10+ years of experience working as a product manager in high performing SaaS environment, EdTech experience a strong plus
  • A proven track record of managing products through the full lifecycle: strategy, development, launch, optimization and even sun setting
  • People management experience, strong team motivational skills and ability to influence without authority
  • Strategic and tactical thinking; identifying and prioritizing opportunities in strategic and tactical contexts.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capacity to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously and communicate with all levels of management
  • Working in a collaborative environment revising and iterating strategy and roadmaps
  • Working with distributed teams across multiple offices and time zones
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders from development, customer success, sales, marketing and leadership
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done

The compensation range for this role will be $175,000 to $250,000 DOE.
