Who We’re Looking for

You’re someone who loves to ‘break’ things, ask questions and leave no stone unturned! As you strive for a flawless user experience, you are an advocate for our customers as well as our developers. Your goal is to be an expert at testing software, with experience in testing systems across various environments such as CMS, web applications, and mobile applications. You will gain experience with UI automation testing tools and best practices and will take a critical role in establishing our QA processes and key metrics. Most importantly, you’re someone who shares in our passion to improve the lives of students through communication.

Reports to: QA Manager

This role will include:

  • Creating, maintaining, and executing detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Perform thorough manual testing of the product to identify defects and verify functionalities.
  • Collaborating with product managers, developers, and designers to understand product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Documenting and tracking defects, providing detailed reports to facilitate issue resolution.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in quality assurance.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a QA Engineer.
  • Prior experience in the Ed-tech industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Ruby, Python for test automation.
  • Expertise in utilizing test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium.
  • Proficiency in creating and executing detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with issue tracking and test management tools.
  • Experience with test automation and testing frameworks is a plus
  • ISTQB certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools is a plus.

The salary range for this role is:  $65,000 - $80,000 DOE
